Round about October, I started to knit. This was my second attempt, and it seems to have worked out well so far. I was inspired to start by Raina of
Kimchi and Crochet.
What I didn't know when I started is that two of my children's foster moms knit. No jokes about red threads here, but the coincidence has certainly given me pause.
I started with scarves then moved on to a hat for Big Brother. For Christmas, I made each of the cousins a gnome hat (pattern from
schmeebot) in their team colors. Then, I bedazzled a gnome hat for a teacher's daughter, The Blonde, and The Boy.
Currently I'm working on a pair of socks, a scarf for my mom, and something for me. Don't know what, yet, but I do know it will be made using my favorite yarn:
Manos del Uruguay.
